Early-career-Support

Besides offers from the participating universities and institution and the unique Young Investigator Programme, a general support of early career researchers is in the focus of this TRR 127. These measures include supervision of doctoral students, participation and organisation of retreats as well as workshops specifically set up for young investigators. To give them a first glance on international symposia, the young scientists were actively involved in the preparation, organisation and on-site support of the International Xenotransplantation Association (IXA) Conference, 10.-13.10.2019, in Munich.

Participation in the retreats and seminars organised by the TRR 127 contributes to the training and development of young researchers (postdoctoral fellows, PhD and MD students) and supports early networking on each career level. During TRR 127 Retreats, young researchers are encouraged to present their own experimental results as poster and/oral presentation. Reports on ongoing thesis projects are presented to selected internal and invited external experts.
