Jeffrey Hoeg award to Prof. Dr. Esther Lutgens (IPEK)

During the annual Scientific Sessions of the ATVB council of the American Heart Association, May 4-6, Nashville, TN, USA, Prof. Esther Lutgens received the prestigious Jeffrey Hoeg award, and gave the award lecture. She received the award for her ground-breaking work on the role of immune checkpoint regulators (ie co-stimulatory molecules such as CD40L and CD40) in vascular disease.

The Hoeg award is a mid-career award for successful and promising researchers in the field of atherosclerosis, thrombosis or vascular biology.
