IPEK scientists at the 85th Annual Meeting of the DGK

The Annual Day of the German Society for Cardiology (DGK) was held in Mannheim this year and focused on Cardiovascular Inflammation. From the 24th to 27th April, 8900 cardiology experts gathered at the Congress Center Rosengarten to discuss the latest developments in cardiovascular medicine and research.

  

 

As an expert in the field, Institute Director Christian Weber attended and had the honnor of giving a short interview on the immune molecular mechanisms underlying atherosclerosis. Watch the video here !

IPEK group leader Oliver Söhnlein received the Albert-Fraenkel-Prize for its research on the inflammatory arm of Athersoclerosis. The € 5,200 Prize is awarded to German-speaking scientists who have qualified through publications in the field of physiology, pharmacology, pathology, clinic or therapy of the circulation.
