Supported by LMUexcellent, Prof. Dr. Antal Rot, who has been appointed Chair in Immunology at the University of York, will be spending the summer semester as a Visiting fellow of the LMU Centre for Advanced Studies (CAS) for a research project at IPEK. Widely acknowledged as one of the world leaders in the biology and immunology of the chemokine system, he will also present one of his idiosyncratically entertaining lectures entitled “Chemokine system, the cell esperanto: crucial roles of atypical chemokine receptors in chemokine grammar” at the CAS on May 20, 2014.
