Workshops

Within the YIP of the TRR 127 we established Annual Young Investigator Workshop during the spring retreats, at which young researchers presented their scientific work and were evaluated. Therefore, in addition to the general early career courses and workshops, special satellite meetings of the YIs were organised, which focused on e.g. teaching of leadership skills, preparing grant applications, writing and publishing scientific papers, or collaboration with industry. Together, these measures are intended to qualify YIs for next step in their professional careers.

• 19./20.03.2019, PEI, Langen, DE: Interactive discussion of YIs with TRR 127 board members (YIP, gender programme, active involvement in the programme of the retreats)
  
  

We established an annual poster session at the TRR 127 Autumn Retreats, at which young researchers present their scientific work:

• 13.10.2017, San Servolo, Venice, IT: Mid-term evaluation of the Young Investigator Programme

• 14.11.2018, Haus der Universität, Bern, CH: PhD poster presentation, and flash talk by young investigator

• 10.-13.10.2019, LMU Munich, Munich, DE: International Xenotransplantation Association (IXA) Conference. Young investigators were part of the Organising Committee and of a specific IXA Vanguard Committee of young scientist. PhD students and YIs of the TRR 127 presented multiple posters and flash talks, registration fees for young scientists were covered by the TRR 127.
