Mark Sen MSc

Research Assistant

Research Focus

I came from a mixed academic background. I have a bachelor’s degree in architecture and a MSc in Advanced Construction and Building Technologies. I have been working as a software developer as well as a project engineer. Even though my initial bachelor’s degree was in the field of architecture, I have already shifted my specialization and my career focus to programming during my MSc. Since the start of my career, I have been involved in the development of software in the field of building environment simulations, energy monitoring, and analysis.

My skill set includes 3 years of development experience in Python and 2 years of experience in Javascript, Php, and MySQL databases. Those experiences involve developing complex simulation software for environmental simulation as well as real time data visualization, interactive UI, and backend data management / analysis. I have also applied machine learning in the field of data anomaly detection and energy prediction.

Since the start of my PhD study, I have been involved in PRONIA project as a Webapp developer. My research focus is to apply Deep Learning algorithms in the field of brain age prediction and schizophrenia prediction using neuroimaging data.
