Methods

 

1) Cell culture systems (e.g. cerebral endothelial cells, human granulocytes, macrophages).

2) Models of experimental meningitis.

3) Measurement of cerebral blood flow using laser-doppler flowmetry, monitoring of intracranial pressure and blood-brain barrier permeability.
