In memory of the legendary pediatric physician-scientist Meinhard von Pfaundler, director of the Dr. von Hauner Children’s Hospital from 1906 to 1939, we are proud to announce a new Lecture Series aiming to foster academic thinking and to give accolade to leaders in the field of translational science.

The first lecture will be given by Jean-Laurent Casanova MD PhD, Director of the St. Giles Laboratory of Human Genetics of Infectious Disease at Rockefeller University in New York City, USA. Professor Casanova is a pioneer of developmental immunology and infectious disease research and has discovered numerous gene-tic diseases predisposing to infections.

The lectures are brought to you thanks to a great support by the Else Kröner Fresenius Foundation, the German Academic Exchange Service, and the Care-for-Rare Foundation.
