Ladies and Gentlemen,
welcome to the homepage of the Institute and Outpatient Clinic for Occupational, Social and Environmental Medicine, Clinical Centre of the Ludwig Maximilian University Munich, Germany. We are dedicated to research in a variety of fields regarding work and health. Our research is organized along the scientific focuses of five working groups, i.e. Analysis and monitoring (Rudolf Schierl and team), Applied Medicine and Psychology at work (Britta Herbig, Matthias Weigl and team), Occupational and Environmental Epidemiology and Net Teaching (Katja Radon and team), Experimental environmental medicine (Rudolf Jörres and team), and Pediatric Environmental Epidemiology (Achim Heinrich, Stephan Böse-O’Reilly and team).
Our outpatient clinic offers examinations and clarification of suspected occupational or environmental health damages including preventive services. In addition, we offer professional occupational medical care across the entire range of services for external companies in all industries.
Finally, we are engaged in teaching at Ludwig Maximilian and Technical University of Munich, and we contribute to the Center for International Health (CIHLMU) with its master programme for Occupational Safety and Health.
Our institute is WHO Collaborating Centre for Occupational Health and is member of the Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics (AOEC) as well as of the European Association of Schools of Occupational Medicine (EASOM).
