Athanasios Seretis and his supervisor Patrizia Stoitzner opened the doors of their lab. The students were shown basic tools and techniques used in research for dendritic cell-based immunotherapy. These tools and techniques included the culture, expansion and activation of dendritic cells in the lab as well as the quality control required afterwards to ensure that these cells have all the characteristics needed to activate the immune system against tumors.
