The „Wissensdurst festival“ started in Innsbruck on April 23rd 2018. During three days, scientists discussed their work with the public in a relaxed atmosphere of a pub. Assoc. Prof. Patrizia Stoitzner and Prof. Nikolaus Romani presented their work on onco-immunology to the interested audience. They explained how the immune system can recognize tumor cells. With the help of special immune cells called dendritic cells they develop strategies to alert the immune system to fight skin tumors.
