Fourth workshop and third conference in Paris, July 2018

Transfer of technology and European patent; Immuno-oncology: heterogeneous cells battling in the tumor microenvironment at Miltenyi Biotec Scientific Days

The fourth workshop of Immutrain has taken place in Paris from 2nd to 4th July 2018 in Paris and focused on transfer of technology and European patent. On Monday, Véroniqe Marcade, French and European Patent Attorney presented the field of intellectual property and patent. Lauren Sosdian and Tim Hart from Oxentia, Innovation consultancy, addressed then on Tuesday a wide range of topics: licensing, spin-out process, commercial partnering, intellectual property, communication strategies for funding and commercialisation case studies in cancer immunotherapies. The courses raised profound interest among the Early Stage Researchers, opening vivid discussions on the economical aspects of therapeutic developments.
The European training went on with the Miltenyi Biotec Scientific Days from 5th to 6th July. This was a great opportunity to learn from outstanding international experts and to get a deep insight in the current state of research.
The team of Prof.  Laurence Zitvogel organised for us social events in breathtaking places, “Le Train Bleu” and les bords de Seine. We have particularly enjoyed the place of the training: the beautiful cloister of „les Cordeliers“ located in the very heart of the Quartier Latin. All of this has definitively contributed to the success of our meeting.
