IFB Program of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research
With the funding of clinical research centers for specific pathological entities, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research aims to support eligible initiatives at medical faculties and university hospitals within the framework of the government program "Health Research: Research for the People". The intention is to fund innovative research and treatment centers, in which top-level clinical research on specific pathological entities is promoted by an integrative collaboration of clinical research and patient care at the highest level.
The aim of the Integrated Research and Treatment Centers is to increase academic competitiveness and to promote a more intensive use of the available resources for high-performing fields and, at the same time, an effective transfer of research results to clinical practice.
