Last year:

Dear Colleagues,
This second International Master Class of the German Center for Vertigo and Balance Disorders and the European DIZZYNET on vestibular, ocular motor and balance disorders gives an update on the on-going new International Classification of Vestibular Disorders, the most frequent peripheral vestibular disorders (BPPV, Menière’s disease and acute unilateral vestibulopathy) and central vestibular compensation.
It also covers the current pharmacotherapy as well as functional vestibular disorders, “cervicogenic vertigo” and gait disorders and falls. On day one, 20-30 min plenary talks on these topics are given and two cases are presented. On day two, there are 90-min clinical hands-on courses in small groups on how to perform the bedside examination of the vestibular and ocular motor system and on how to use and apply important laboratory examinations such as the video-head impulse test, vestibular-evoked myogenic potentials or posturography. There will also be courses for scientists on methods in vestibular research as well as functional imaging.
This educational Master Class has two major aims: first, increasing knowledge and improving practical skills; and second, discussing and establishing international standards for the management of dizzy patients.
