Our department is involved in different research areas

- Biomedical Research,

- Epidemiology and Public Health Research,

- Clinical Research.

Priorities are different infectious and tropical diseases, particularly malaria and other parasitic diseases, HIV infection, tuberculosis, Buruli ulcer disease and cysticercosis.

Most working groups work on cutting areas, especially in projects of research and development cooperation with partner countries and institutions in the tropics (Tanzania, Uganda, Togo, Kenya, Burkina Faso, Mali, Mauritania, Namibia, Malawi, South Africa, Indonesia, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Bolivia, Brazil , Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago).

The presentation of the results of the department's research and its publication in international journals is one of the essential tasks of our academic mandate. In recent years the cumulative impact factor of the published original work has been between 100-300 per year. [more...]
